Information for Students with Allergies
The dining services team is well-trained in food allergy awareness and offer a number of options for students with food allergies, including communication about and modification to existing menu items, special preparation of menu items through a pre-ordering system, access to special products as agreed upon with students and access to a designated room where those products are stored.
Questions about these services or to request food allergy accommodations, students should contact:
Lesley University Disability Services
Director of Access Services

Additionally, the University recognizes that despite its good faith and reasonable efforts to make reasonable modifications of its policies, practices, and procedures for students with food allergies, students may ultimately disagree with the University’s proposed modifications. If a student with food allergies disagrees with the determinations made by Disability Services after the student has engaged in the interactive process, the student may request a review by the Executive Director of Academic Support Services (Lesley’s ADA/Section 504 Coordinator), consistent with the Amended Policy. Appeals of this review are heard by the Dean of Student Life and Academic Achievement.
Information about specific menu options can be found on the menu page for each café which can be accessed at the link at the top of this page. Menu items that are appropriate options for most students with celiac disease are labeled as “made without gluten” while other “major 8 allergens” are include in menu names and/or descriptions. Further questions about ingredients can be answered by our trained managers/chefs on-site.
